The center was established in 2008. Representatives of the NATO Center carry out information activities related to the popularization of NATO activities for the general population.
The Center cooperates with the Department of European Integration, the Department of Education of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration in the framework of information activities regarding the benefits of Ukraine’s accession to NATO for residents of the region. Accordingly, joint events are organized to develop recommendations to local self-government bodies, as well as to improve the qualifications of their representatives. Open lectures are held for schoolchildren about the history of the Alliance, its cooperation with Ukraine, as well as the prospects and advantages of such cooperation for the future. During the activity of the Center, a number of teaching aids were developed, which were transferred to the schools of the region. On the basis of the university, a round table was organized as part of events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the creation of NATO and the exhibition “Activities of NATO trust funds”.
