The Regional Accelerator of Innovations, Technologies and Startups in the Ivano-Frankivsk region is an educational and scientific institution operating on the basis of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, which offers an intensive acceleration program for the development of startup projects with the aim of promoting innovative entrepreneurship and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem at the regional level in Ukraine.
The goal of the Accelerator is to build national capacity to support and promote innovation by organizing startup competitions and providing mentoring and consulting services. This will allow to solve a number of problems in the region, namely to promote the development of regional innovative startups, the creation of new jobs and the introduction of innovations for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
Experienced mentors and leading international experts work on the development of ideas and startup projects, who, together with representatives of government, business and civil society, help develop ideas and startup projects. We plan to organize educational trainings, webinars and master classes on starting startups, creative thinking and innovation development.
The accelerator is aimed at attracting grant funds to stimulate the development of innovative startups and spread the best European educational practices and the latest tools for accelerating startups.
Tasks of the Accelerator:
- Search for innovative start-up projects whose developments can be applied in practice in the reconstruction of Ukraine;
- Expertise and selection of innovative startup projects in accordance with the defined objectives of the competition;
- Accelerated development of selected innovative startup projects due to participation in the Acceleration Program with the involvement of mentors and experts;
- Development of tools for interaction with start-up companies and developers of technological and business innovations;
- Organization and holding of educational trainings, webinars, master classes on starting startups, development of innovative and creative thinking;
- Dissemination of the best European educational practices, experience in using the latest tools and methods for accelerating innovative startups;
- Attracting grant funds to stimulate the development of innovative startups;
- Organization of contests of innovative startups among young people.

Competition of Eco-Friendly startup projects
GCIP regional accelerator for innovations, technologies and startups in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, which was created on the basis of the Precarpathian National University with the support of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
The goal of the project is to build the national potential to support and promote innovations in the field of clean technologies by creating a pilot regional cleantech accelerator within the framework of GCIP Ukraine in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk on the basis of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. This will help solve problems in the region, support regional innovative cleantech startups, create green jobs in the regions of Ukraine, support and promote the development and implementation of innovations, spread the GCIP methodology and develop the entrepreneurial ecosystem at the regional level in Ukraine.
UNIDO specialists, leading international experts (together with representatives of the government, business and civil society), teachers of the Precarpathian National University worked on the development of ideas and startup projects.

- Startup competition (2023):
The goal is to implement new promising social, entrepreneurial and scientific research projects of Precarpathian student youth based on the results of the sixth startup competition of the Precarpathian National University, the Regional Accelerator of Startups, and Precarpathian University Science Park LLC.
About 5 weeks of working with mentors on the basis of the acceleration program allowed students to reveal the potential of their ideas, as well as to gain enough knowledge for the further development of their own startups. On May 12, the finals were held, where 22 teams had the opportunity to demonstrate their results and receive evaluations from the jury members.
Among all applicants, the following winners were awarded:
🥇 place – unified charger for mobile electronic gadgets (Team: Electrical-students) (20,000 hryvnias);
🥈 place – EcoPinoisol (Team: EcoPinoizol) (15,000 hryvnias);
🥉 place – Trans-ju team pomer.granat (Team: Speaking club) (10,000 hryvnias).
🏅 Special prize “For creativity” from Viktor Vintonyak (Regional Development Agency of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Business Association of Ivano-Frankivsk) was awarded to team: Skrynka Stanislavova, startup: Skrynka Stanislavova.
Participants of all teams were recognized for their active participation in the competition and received a monetary reward of 250 pounds.
